Icarus - Joshua “Jay” Gunthrie
to Julia Cabot

One of the most tragic mutants I would say.
His powers are to believed to come from an ancient race called the Cheyarafim mutants. Icarus possesses (similar to Angel) red-colored wings which allow him to fly and produce regenerative enzymes.
His story line is paralleled to Romeo and Juliet. He fell in love with a woman named Julia Cabot and this was the counterpart of the Montague vs Capulet rivalry because of the feud between the Cabots and the Gunthries.
This feud eventually led to a fight between the families and the father of Julia shot Jay down. Julia thinking Jay died, carried him down to the deepest depths of the river then held him as she too, sank with him.
So the tragedy was that she was not aware of Jay’s regenerative powers. They only manifested then. Jay awoke with Julia in his arms.
